Release

Email notifications are coming to PrairieTest! Students will start receiving notifications about their reservations and upcoming exams, giving them a little less to remember and a little more room for what they’re studying.

This has been one of our most requested quality-of-life improvements, and we’re excited to say that it will be rolled out gradually to our partner institutions.

A little less to remember

PrairieTest emails will track the whole exam life-cycle, helping students keep track of what's next.

  • Ready to reserve: when an exam becomes available for self-reservation:

  • You're booked: A confirmation when a reservations are made, with the exam’s time and place:

  • Coming up soon: A reminder before the scheduled exam:

A change of plans

Students will also receive notifications when their reservations are changed or canceled.

If course or center staff moves a reservation to a different time or location, the email shows both the previous and updated details, so students can see exactly what changed.

Your inbox, your choice

Users can manage their notification configuration in the new Email settings section of their account settings:

By default, notifications are delivered to the user's institutional email, but users can also specify a different address.

Notifications can also be turned off for most emails, except reservation changes made by course or center staff.

See you in your inbox

Emails in PrairieTest are going to be enabled incrementally across institutions, so keep an eye out! Once the feature is available at your institution, visit your account settings to check where your notifications will arrive and choose your preferences.

We’re excited to hear how this helps students, instructors, and testing centers keep track of exam plans. Let us know what you think!

We’ll help you remember the reservation. Studying is still up to you!
